Shattered Soul is Team KAIZEN’s 90s-style 3D fighter. As one of the main developers of the Shattered Soul tech demo, I designed and developed the combat system. This system allows programmers to set what buttons players press to perform an attack and what sound effects, animations, projectiles, damage, and other behaviors compose that attack. During gameplay, it executes these attacks and affects the players, HUD, and environment. I also contributed to the collision detection and reaction, 3D camera movement, and player controls code and performed other miscellaneous tasks. The Shattered Soul tech demo is built with the Unity game engine. We hope to pitch this project to PlayStation for investment.
